Welcome to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Haveri (Hanumanamatti)

Indian council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in collaborations with earstwhile University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore , Started Krishi Vigyan Kendra Haveri in 1976. It is the first KVK in Karnataka and Second in South India. Since 1986 it comes under the Jurisdiction of University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad and involved in the transfer of agricultural technologies to the farming community.

Haveri District is known for maize and cotton crops (1,7 lakh ha and 60 Thosdand ha) besides some important few others. Milets are also cultivated in the district in about 2000ha. Farmers of this district are hardworking but needs technical support for crop cultivation. The KVK, Haveri is doing its service to farmers and providing the needfull technological infromation in the field of agriculture and allied subjects. Farmers need to put efforts, just efforts, god will grace them with good crop yield.
